We strive to employ a sustainable, earth-conscious approach to each step of our manufacturing process, especially to the dyeing process. Color is our main source of inspiration, that is why each season we create new color ways thoughtfully designed in our textile studio based in Lima. Our expertise in natural dyeing has allowed us to formulate an exquisite color palette of more than 100 colors that are carefully tested to ensure our sustainable yarns are free from any heavy metal and synthetic products. Natural dyeing has a perfect affinity for wool, alpaca and cotton fibers and produces a natural aesthetic and harmonious vivid colors. In addition, natural dyes are renewable and biodegradable. At KINUA, we work with a variety of leaves, Andean flowers, roots and vegetable waste celebrating nature.
Disclaimer: We make a great effort to make the images reflect the colors. All photographs are high resolution. However, consider that the reflection of light can affect the photograph and may be lighter or darker in reality. Likewise, we suggest when carrying out a project to buy all the necessary skeins so that they are from the same batch, since the nature of natural dyeing generates variations in tones, the same color can be lighter or darker in the following batches.
