PATTERN NOTES
This stocking is knit in the round from the cuff down. The cuff is worked in ribbing and stranded colorwork is used throughout the leg and foot of the stocking. The heel and toe are worked in a solid color. This stocking features an afterthought heel. As the final step, a crochet border is worked along the cast-on edge and chain stitches form a loop for hanging. Finally, two tassels are added to the top of the stocking.
This pattern uses the stranded method for colorwork. There are several instances in which you must carry one color across long distances. Be sure to trap your floats every 4-5 stitches to prevent puckering in the fabric. Please note that the stranded colorwork motif is charted only. Change colors as indicated on charts.
